Newark Con Club had an excellent 6-1 win over league leaders Lincoln Snooker Club A. Matt Bavin started the ball rolling with a 67-12 win over Daren Doughty. The same two contested the second frame and that also went to Matt winning a frame high scoring frame 97-70. Rob Hall made it 3-0 with a 91-0 win over Matt Ransome with the help of a 87 break. The same two players also played in the fourth frame which also went to Rob 42-25. Dave Jobling was up next for the Newark side but just lost out 66-51 against Gavin Whittle. Dave then played two further frames both against Matt Lee. Matt had a 43 break but it was Dave who took the frame 58-47 and the final frame of the night 49-31 to complete the home win. These leaves the Newark side just one point behind their opponents.

Woodhall Spa Con Club were away to Lincoln Snooker Club C, Danny Pickering opened the scoring for the home side when he won a high scoring match 72-64 against Neil Dowlman. Neil then played Chris Robinson and levelled the scores with a 54-30 win. Kieran Richards-Witham put Woodhall Spa in front for the first time with a 56-18 victory over Chris. Danny played his second frame of the night when he beat Nigel Salmon 57-28, Nigel returned to the table and just got the better of Lee Applewhite 64-52. Chris Taylor shared his two frames, he won the first frame 46-38 against Danny but lost 65-34 to Lee.

The two Lincoln Snooker sides met, the B team and the D team. Stu Cannings with a 37 break took the first frame 56-44 against Glenn Foster. Dave Norman levelled the scores with a 61-27 against Adam Hanson. Rick Epton made it 2-1 to the B side when he got the better of Ed Taylor 56-45. Glenn played his second frame of the night against Phil Cross and it was Glenn’s night winning 53-6. Rick made it 4-1 with a 48-36 win against Stu. Justin Hunt for the D side won 2-0 against Dave Norman 55-20 and 66-12 respectively.

Lincoln Snooker Club E won their second match of the season winning by the odd frame 4-3 away to Moorlands & Railway A. Steve Burnett put the away side two up with victories over Sean Falkinder and Nick Moon. Gary Falkinder and Tom Hutchinson levelled at 2-2 both defeating Mark Taylor. Chrissy Allwood made a rare appearance and played well to beat Tony Hicklin 58-44. Steve Burnett played his third frame of the night and defeated Tom 58-22 to make it 4-2. Nick then played Chrissy and won 53-11.

Lincoln Snooker Club F lost their first match of the season going down 6-0 away to Hykeham B Michael Morrison with a 44 took the opening frame 70-51 against Ben Rickards. Darren Edwards and Scott Morrison soon made it 3-0 with victories over George Barrett and Toby Andrews. Michael played his second frame and it was a repeat of the first frame, Michael winning 55-27 against Ben. Darren and Scott played their second frames of the night, Darren beat Mark Gibbons 55-18 and Scott defeated Mark Handford on the black 61-59. This win puts Hykeham B into third place and leapfrogs their opponents.

Castle Ward C won 4-2 against the Lincoln Snooker Academy B side 4-2, Tristan Fussey winning his two frames and unbeaten Martin Key carried on his unbeaten run with victories over Josh Hackney and Jared Bailey. Jack Lowe and James Sawyer replied for the Academy team.

Hykeham A won 5-1 against Cube & Triangle, Dan May, Rob Chapman and Dave Coutts put the high team 3-0 up. Gary Chambers pulled one frame back with a 42-29 victory over Steve Robinson. Gary Beardsley defeated Glynn Ayris 57-34 and then Rob wrapped the night up with his second win of the night 66-42 against Gary.

The two Castle Ward Teams met each other which resulted in 2-4 win for Castle Ward A. Adrian Bunn put his side one up when he defeated Craig Wallace 58-22. Ken Hill levelled the scores with a 61-42 win over Rob Reeves. Scott Gratrick and Tim Dunn made it 3-1 against Matt Strickson and Kev Cottam. Kev returned to the table and he beat Adam Petty 57-30. The final frame of the night saw Tim Dunn defeated Matt Strickson 60-6.

Lincoln Snooker Academy A side entertained Moorlands & Railway B, but were beaten 2-4. Oli Bagnall and Oli Bishell were the home team winners and Josh Weaver, Liam and Nathan Shasby and Josh again for the away side.

Moorlands & Railway C drew 3-3 with Lincoln Snooker Club G. Leigh Blades won a black ball game 49-42 against Andy Campbell and then Matt Todd defeated Scott Simpson 52-44 to put Lincoln Snooker Club two up. Phil Barnett played two games in a row and won them both 73-40 against Tom Boyle and 57-48 against Matt. Scott put his side in front for the first time when he just got the better of Tom 42-34. Leigh played his second frame of the night and came away with two points as he beat home team captain Andy Riggall 60-29.
