Hykeham A are now seven points clear at the top of the 1st Division, they have now only dropped four points in their last six matches, with three white washes. LDBSA League Chairman put his side one up with a 61-37 win over Andy Campbell. Rob Chapman, Dave Coutts and Gary Beardsley soon made it 4-0. Dan May had a good 63-44 win over Ian Baker and Rob Chapman with his second win over the night with an excellent 91-7 victory over Andy Riggall.

Hykeham’s nearest rivals are Lincoln Snooker Club F and Castle Ward C. The Snooker Club side have still only lost one match and their latest result was a 4-2 away win over Moorlands & Railway B. George Barrett won his two frames defeating Trev Porter and Nathan Shasby along the way. In between George’s two frames Mark Handford lost a closely fought frame 60-5 against Josh Weaver. The home side levelled the scores when Liam Shasby beat the King of Lincoln Snooker Club Mark Gibbons 61-35. The reliable Ben Rickards completed the victory with wins of Josh with a 32 break and a 51-41 win over Liam.

Castle Ward C have recorded two back to back 4-2 wins, their latest was at Home to Hykeham B. Martin Key dependable as ever won his two frames both against Dave Croft. Tristan Fussey also won his two frames against Darren Edwards. Michael Morrison was another player to win bot of his matches 42-4 and 47-33 against Craig Starbuck.

Castle Ward A are in 5th place in the league and have opened up a seven-point lead over the 6th placed team. They were away to Lincoln Snooker Club G Adrian Bunn put the away side up with a 52-15 win over Mr Blades. Tim Dunn made it 2-0 when he defeated Matt Todd 51-11. Scott Gratrick and Adam Petty made it 4-0 with victories over Andy Nicholl and Tom Boyle. Adam was back at the table in the fifth frame and this time he faced Matt and it was Adam who took the honours when he just scrapped home with 52-49 victory. Andy was the lone winner for the home side when he defeated Tim Dunn 50-19.

The Lincoln Snooker Academy sides had encouraging results both drawing 3-3. The B side faced Cube & Triangle Glynn Ayres and two frames for Gary Chambers were the home side winners and for the away side Joe Jackson, Jared Bailey and Jack Lowe.

The Academy A side were away against Castle Ward B, Ken Hill won his two frames and Matt Strickson was the other winner for the home side. Oliver Bagnall, Daniel Shearman and James Lilley for the youngsters.

Hykeham B won 2-0 against Newark Con Club, Dave Coutts defeated Rob Hall despite breaks of 55, 56, 101 and 122 from Rob. Steve Robinson then beat Darren Hall.
