Lincoln Snooker Club A collected maximum points at the expense of their D team, Daren Doughty started the ball rolling when he defeated Mark Handford, this was followed by two wins for Jamie Barker who defeated Simon Mower in both frames 75-29 and 62-20. Matt Ransome made it 4-0 with a comfortable 71-13 win over George Barrett. Gavin Whittle was in top form and compiled a break of 90 in his 90-1 victory over George. Matt Lee completed the victory with two wins against Chris Robinson 49-41 with a 27 break and in the final frame 61-7.  Newark Con Club are in second place after a 5-2 away win over Lincoln Snooker Club C. Adam Sears and Matt Bavin with two wins each and the other point came via Dave Jobling.             Woodhall Spa Con club also won 5-2 at home to Lincoln Snooker Club B. Calum Baptist took the opening frames for the away side defeating Dan Burt 69-9 and 48-37. Woodhall Spa hit back and took the five remaining frames, Neil Dowlman defeated Glenn Foster 2-0 and the Snooker Club side had to call on young Jayden Hunt, who has been playing very well in the 2nd division played the three remaining frames but lost two frames to Jamie Turner in which he made a 63 break, and one against Dan. But congratulations to Jayden for stepping up to help the B side out.                                                                                        

Lincoln Security Snooker League 1     

League leaders Lincoln Snooker Club F faced a tricky match against second placed Lincoln Snooker Club E. The E team didn’t waste any time and took the first three frames, Steve Burnett defeated Edward Taylor 60-22 and 64-17 and this was followed by a black ball frame when Mark Taylor defeated Brian Lawson 43-42. Paul Bean pulled two frames back firstly beating Mark 64-14 with a break of 41 from Paul and another black ball frames against Anthony Liddell winning 50-43. The final frame was also close and this went to Anthony when he defeated Nick McCauley 70-61 with a break of 40.                                                                                                    After losing 6-0 last week Hykeham A defeated Castle Ward B 4-2 which saw wins for Dave Coutts, Steve Robinson, Rob Chapman and Gary Beardsley. Jack McGovern for Castle Ward took the two remaining frames defeating Dan May and Rob Chapman.                                                                                                                    Third and fourth placed sides, Castle Ward A and Hykeham B met at the Castle Ward. Rob Reeves put the home side one up when he defeated Chris Ellis 54-27. Darren Edwards and Dave Croft took the next two frames for the Hykeham side, Darren defeated Tim Dunn 55-43 and Dave beat Adam Petty 68-33. Adie Bunn made it 2-2 when he beat Darren 47-8 and Rob Reeves made it 3-2 when he defeated Chris 55-34. The remaining frame was taken by Adie who beat Dave 48-40 to complete the fightback

George Barrett Snooker League 2                                                                                

The top two teams, Lincoln Snooker Academy and Moorlands & Railway A met at the Moorlands. Both teams were unbeaten and by the end of the night it remained the same as they fought out a 3-3 draw. Young Jacob Luca just got the better of his opponent Nathan Shasby when he came from behind to win a black ball frame 43-42 to put the Academy side one up. Trev Porter levelled the scores with a comfortable 63-13 win over Oli May. Liam Shasby put the Moorlands in front for the first-time defeating Daniel Sherman 44-32. Brandon Staples levelled the scores for the Academy side with the help of a 28 break in his 59-40 victory over Nathan. Jayden Hunt who is having a good season so far extended the Academy’s lead to 3-2 defeating Trev 58-29. The final frame was another black ball frame and it was the Moorlands Liam who won that 45-41 against Oli Bishell.                                           There’s not a lot to choose between the other four teams, just four points separate third place Moorlands & Railway B and sixth placed Cube & Triangle. Moorlands B were away to Lincoln Snooker Club H and came away with a 4-2 win, Scott Simpson, Andy Campbell, Phil Barnett and Ian Baker, Andy & Phil winning black ball frames. Lincoln Snooker Club’s points came from Ray Reid and James Byrne.       The Cube & Triangle recorded their second win of the season after a 4-2 away win over Lincoln Snooker Club G. The Cube side raced into a 3-0 lead which victories for Gary Chambers, James Belton and Glynn Ayris. Birthday boy Mark Gibbons won his sides first point when he defeated Dan Chambers 49-40. Marley Clayton recorded his first win of the season when he defeated Joe Jackson 46-32. Josh Hackney won the other point for the Lincoln Snooker Club side when he won 62-32 against Karl Clayton.
