Lincoln Snooker Club B recorded their first win in nine matches when they defeated third placed Woodhall Spa 4-3. Dave Norman playing his first frames this season put Lincoln Snooker Club 2-0 when he defeated Neil Dowlman 54-20 and 67-45. Glenn Foster made it 3-0 when he also beat Neil 67-40. Dan Burt for the home side put their first point on the board when he beat Glenn 82-17 with a break of 33. Lee Mason made sure of an away win for Lincoln Snooker Club when he defeated Dan 60-29. Jamie Turner and Lee played the two outstanding frames which Jamie won both, 61-10 with a break of 44 and 74-7 and a break of 47. Newark Con Club made a winning return after last weeks loss when they defeated Lincoln Snooker Club C 5-2. Dale Schofield won the opening two frames for the Newark side firstly defeating Stu Cannings 85-23 and Phil Cross 82-30. Justin Hunt pulled a frame back when he beat Matt Bavin 80-25 with a break of 42. Lee Applewhite levelled the scores at 2-2 when he also defeated Matt with a score of 56-13. Rob Hall played the three remaining frames for Newark in his first frame Rob defeated Phil 67-21. Rob made it 4-2 with a 71-44 victory over Stu, the final frame saw Rob make it a hattrick of victories when he defeated Lee 62-26 to complete the victory. Lincoln Snooker Club A whitewashed their opponents Lincoln Snooker Club D 7-0. Jamie Barker opened the scoring when he defeated Simon Mower 47-37. Matt Ransome defeated Chris Robinson 2-0, 73-19 and 74-8. Gavin Whittle made it 4-0 with the help of a 57 break when he beat George Barrett 75-14. Matt Lee won his first frame of the evening 65-9 with a 44 break, and in his second frame he beat Mark Handford 55-15. Mark played Daren Doughty in the last frame of the evening which Daren won 55-3.

The top two teams in the Lincoln Security Snooker League met, the leaders Lincoln Snooker Club F were on an unbeaten run of nine games but they came unstuck against their E team. Andy Gill opened the scoring for the E team, inflicting the first defeat of the season on Paul Bean winning 57-25. Andy then faced Nick McCauley and won a close frame 61-53. Brian Lawson pulled a frame back for the league leaders when he defeated Anthony Liddell 39-13. Anthony returned to the table in the next frame and won 54-36 against James Durance. Steve Burnett inflicted another defeat on Paul winning 61-16. Steve rounded the night off when he beat Brian 67-23 to complete the victory. Hykeham A occupy third place having won more games than their B team. Hykeham A were at home to the bottom side Castle Ward B. Ken Hill put the Ward one up when he beat Steve Robinson 45-36. Hykeham then took the next three frames Rob Chapman defeated Kev Cottam 81-35, Dave Coutts beat Matt Strickson on the black 48-43 and Gary Beardsley with a break of 31 beat Jack McGovern 65-9. Ken won his second frame of the evening when he won a black ball frame 50-47 against Dan May. Gary then beat Matt 57-41 to complete the result. Hykeham B were away to Castle Ward A and the shared the points at 3-3. Michael Morrison, Dave Croft and Tristan Fussey put Hykeham 3-0 up. Adrian Bunn won his two frames to reduce the arrears, firstly beating Chris Ellis 57-21 and then a black ball frame 58-51 against Michael. Tim Dunn defeated Tristan 57-17 to complete the comeback.

Lincoln Snooker Academy’s unbeaten run continues they defeated nearest rivals Moorlands and Railway A 5-1 to extend their lead to eleven points. The Academy side were one down when Josh Weaver defeated Jacob Louca 51-42. Daniel Sherman levelled the scores when he defeated Nathan Shasby 75-46. The reliable Jayden Hunt put the Academy side in front when he beat Trev Porter 59-28. Brandon Staples made it 1-3 with a comfortable 60-14 victory over John Rice. Daniel won his second frame of the evening when he beat Liam Shasby 70-13. Brandon also won his second frame when he just got the better of Josh winning 53-39. Cube & Triangle recorded a 3-3 draw with Lincoln Snooker Club G. The Cube took the opening frame when Gary Chambers beat Olli Schmidt 42-30. Lincoln Snooker Club side hit back and took the next three frames which saw victories for Jazz Bailey, Michael Stacey and Mark Gibbons. Dan Chambers reduced the arrears when he defeated Michael 51-37 and Karl Clayton completed the comeback when he beat Mark 54-41. Lincoln Snooker Club H and Moorlands and Railway shared the points, Phil Barnatt put the Moorlands one up when he beat Tom Cutten 63-38. Leigh Blades made it 1-1 when he also beat Phil 49-36. Scott Simpson made it 1-2 to the Moorlands and with a break of 27 in a comfortable 50-2 against Ray Reid. Tom Boyle for the home team made it 2-2 when he just got the better of his opponent, Andy Riggall 52-33. Back came the Moorland and Railway team and Scott made it two wins from two when he beat George Lorenti 48-22. The final frame of the evening was a black ball frame which eventually went to Leigh 39-33 against Andy to earn a share of the spoils.

Lincoln Snooker Club A and Hykeham are both unbeaten and they met this week at the Lincoln Snooker Club. Rob was giving his opponent, Dave Coutts 790 points start and Rob started to eat into the deficit with breaks of 146,109,85 and 71. Dave gave a spirited performance but the experience and the break building of Rob started to show and he took the match 200-121. Anna conceded 40 points against her opponent Dan May and she played very well and won 200-167. After seven matches Lincoln Snooker Club are still unbeaten and this was Hykeham’s first defeat of the season. Hykeham B move into second place and they are also remain unbeaten after a 1-1 draw with Lincoln Snooker Club B. Congratulations to Jayden Hunt who is starting out to learn the game of Billiards registered his first win when he defeated Fraser Proctor 200-148. Chris Ellis for Hykeham levelled the scores and with an unfinished break of 45 he beat Leigh Blades 200-125.
