Newark Con Club and Woodhall Spa Con Club are keeping the pressure on the league leaders Lincoln Snooker Club A. Second placed Newark Con Club faced Lincoln Snooker Club C at home and came away with six points. Adam opened the scoring when he won a close frame 51-39 against Phil. Dale made it 2-0 with a comfortable 81-25 victory. Phil played his second frame and played very well when he defeated Dale 51-30 this turned out to be the away sides only point on the night. Rob played two successive frames, in his first frame he compiled a break of 88 winning 95-1 against Justin. In his second frame Rob continued his good form and with breaks of 38 and 65 he took the frame 122-9 against Phil. Dave played the two remaining frames for Newark, he beat James 58-29 and followed that up with a 67-33 victory against Justin. Woodhall Spa faced fourth placed Lincoln Snooker Club B and they also came away with six points. Dan put the Woodhall Spa one up when he played a good game in defeating Rick 69-19. Hugo levelled the scores at 1-1 when he also played a good frame in winning 65-33 against Neil. Hugo played his second frame also against Neil and this time Neil won 59-31. Dan returned to the table and faced Glenn this time and he made it 3-1 with a 62-12 win. Neil made it 4-1 when he just got the better of Glenn winning 50-40. The two remaining frames saw Woodhall’s Jamie defeat Calum 65-21 and 68-29 to complete the victory. Lincoln Snooker Club A faced stablemates Lincoln Snooker Club D and came away with a 5-2 win. Jamie for the A team soon put his side 2-0 up, firstly beating George 65-29 and then a 79-50 victory over Chris. Matt Ransome made it 4-0 winning 55-37 against Ben and a comfortable 70-17 against George. Gavin made it 5-0 when he defeated George 56-19. Chris earned the D teams first point when he recorded a very good win 68-42 against Gavin. The final frame saw an-other win for the D team when Ben defeated Daren 66-27.

Hykeham A are on an unbeaten run of six games and are now only one point behind second placed Lincoln Snooker Club E. Hykeham’s latest result was a 6-0 whitewash of bottom side Castle Ward B. Dave put Hykeham one up when he defeated Ken 67-46. Gary made it 2-0 with the help of a 34 break in a comfortable 60-20 win over Craig. League Chairman Steve made it 3-0 defeating Matt 50-22. Dan played two frames, he defeated Kev 44-17 which was followed by a close frame 43-36 against Ken. The final frame saw a second win for Gary when he beat Kev 53-39. The top two sides, Lincoln Snooker Club F and E met which resulted in a 4-2 win for the leaders Lincoln Snooker Club F. Wayne continued his good form and with two more wins next to his name he heads the averages league with just one defeat next to his name. Wayne had to dig deep against Steve and he eventually won the opening frame on the black winning 51-47. Matt made it 2-0 for the home side when he also beat Steve with a score line of 76-38. Andy levelled the scores at 2-2 firstly defeating James 64-32 and then Andy won a black ball frame 40-33 against Brian. Wayne returned to the table and recorded his 19th win of the season when he beat Mark 63-24. Mark didn’t fair any better in his second frame when Matt won his second frame 51-19 with a 30 break. Hykeham B who are in fourth place faced fifth placed Castle Ward A and they couldn’t be separated when they shared the points 3-3. Hykeham raced into a 3-0 lead, Dave defeated Rob 53-39 which was followed by a win for Chris who won 56-27 against Tim. League Secretary Tristan was the third winner when he beat Adam 60-30. Adrian played two successive frames for Castle Ward and won them both firstly defeating Tristan 53-25 and a 65-23 victory against Dave. The comeback was complete when Tim beat Chris 53-39.

The top two teams in the George Barrett Snooker League 2 met and for the third time running the young Academy side claim victory with two 5-1 wins and a 4-2 win. The Academy side is looking unstoppable with those dominant wins, and an 18-point lead is massive Jacob won the opening frame when he won a black ball frame 47-46 against Nathan. This was followed by victories for Brandon and Daniel against Josh and Liam respectively, Brandon won 60-28 while Daniel won a close game 49-41. Moorlands had a tough night, but Liam managed to avoid a whitewash, when he defeated Jayden on the black 43-40. Brandon made it two wins on the night when he defeated Josh for the second time on the night 64-35. The final frame saw Jay-den defeat Nathan 50-23 to complete another impressive result. Cube & Triangle’s draw with Lincoln Snooker Club G sounded like a battle, with Gibbo and Karl making key contributions. Cube & Triangle have put some useful results of late and this week they drew 3-3 at home with Lincoln Snooker Club G. Jazz put the away side one up when he defeated Jack 50-28. Gary then levelled the scores when he won a black ball frame 43-38 against Ollie. Gibbo then made it 2-1 to the away side when he played very well in defeating Dan 53-11. Karl recorded a break of 29 in his 56-16 win over Michael. Gibbo won his second frame of the evening when he beat Marley 59-35. The final frame saw Karl earn a share of the spoils for his side when he defeated Michael 57-20. Moorlands & Railway B are well clear in third place and have extended their lead over fourth placed Lincoln Snooker Club H. Moorlands & Railway B also showed resilience, bouncing back from 2-0 down to secure a 4-2 win. George won the opening frame when he won a close frame against Duncan winning 50-42. Leigh had a good frame winning 57-24 against Andy Campbell. Scott played two good frames to level the scores, firstly defeating Ray 59-15 then 71-14 against Tom. Andy Riggall put the home side in front for the first time when he beat Leigh 61-40. The final frame saw Phil defeat George

Lincoln Snooker Club A have extended their lead at the top of the Billiards League after a 2-0 away win over Hykeham A and another impressive performance from Rob with breaks of 282 and 96 in his win against Steve. Anna also put in an impressive performance defeating Dave 200-118. For their first season at playing Billiards Lincoln Snooker Club B must be pleased with some of their results. Although they are four points adrift at the bottom of the league they can make it difficult for the other teams. Jayden was first up and was just beaten by Fraser. Leigh levelled the scores when he just got the better of Tristan winning 200-182.
