After this round of fixtures Lincoln Snooker Club A have a nine point lead at the top of the Spec & Fix Premier League, after a 6-1 home win over their B team. The opening frame could have gone to Lincoln Snooker Club B but it eventually went to the home side when Matt Ransome won a re-spotted black winning 57-50 against Hugo. Hugo then levelled the score when this time he got the better of Matt when he won 58-21. Gav put the A side back in front with a comfortable 77-7 victory over Glenn. In Glenn’s second frame it was a lot closer but the result went to Matt Lee 65-57. The fifth frame was also close with the eventually victory going to Jamie when he beat Rick 56-45 for a 4-1 lead. The sixth frame saw Matt Lee compile a break of 72 in his 80-13 win over Calum. The final frame saw Jamie defeat Calum 78-9 with a break of 40. Second placed Newark Con Club were without their Captain Rob Hall so Nick Haywood came in and took his place against Lincoln Snooker Club D. Dale put Newark one up when he came from behind when he won a black ball frame 49-46. Dale also won his second frame 67-24 against Simon to put his side 2-0 up. Nick playing his first frame for over nine weeks when he defeated George 61-49. Nick played a further two frames, he won his second frame 62-28 against Ben but lost out to Simon 56-17. Darren Hall played his first two frames this season he won his first frame 55-46 against George for a 5-1 lead. Ben won his second and final point of the night when he beat Darren 47-3. Woodhall Spa are still three points behind Newark and have to play the Lincoln Snooker Club A and Newark in the next two weeks and these two fixtures could decide the top two spots. Woodhall Spa Con Club’s Neil won the first two frames against Lincoln Snooker Club C, firstly defeating Stu 45-30 followed by a 73-36 win against James. Justin pulled A frame back when he won a black ball frame 49-46 against Dan. Dan shared his next two frames, he beat Phil 78-32 and then lost to James 60-32. The reliable Jamie rounded the night off with two comfortable wins, defeating Phil 65-8 and then a 83-36 victory against Lee.

League leaders Lincoln Snooker Club F were without brothers Wayne & Paul were soundly beaten 5-1 at home by Hykeham B. Chris put Hykeham one up when he defeated Brian 55-36. Hykeham soon got into their stride after the opening win and took the next four frames which saw victories two victories each for Darren and Tristan. The final frame saw James defeat Chris 61-31 for their only point of the evening, despite this defeat they still have a thirteen point lead at the top. Second placed Lincoln Snooker Club E were surprisingly held to a 3-3 draw with basement side Castle Ward B. Anthony shared the opening two frames for the Snooker Club side with a very good result against Ken winning 74-48. In his second frame Anthony lost 52-42 against Jack. Mark played the next two frames and won them both comfortably, in his first frame he beat Matt 50-15 and then with a break of 25 in his 64-6 victory against Craig. The final two frames were both won by Castle Ward, Jack with a break of 33 beat Andy 66-55 and then Ken also beat Andy on the black ball 51-46 for a spirited fight back by Castle Ward. Hykeham A are just one point behind Lincoln Snooker Club E after a 4-2 home win over Castle Ward A. Rob Reeves put Castle Ward one up when he won the opening frame 37-28 against Steve. Hykeham then won the next three frames, Rob Chapman squared the match at 1-1 with a very good 65-18 win against Tim with the help of a 33 break. Dan put Hykeham in front for the first time when he beat Adam 41-17. Gay extended the lead for Hykeham when he won a close game 47-39 against Adrian. Adrian remained at the table and faced Dave this time and with a break of 34 Adrian won 63-23. The final frame was between the two Robs and it was Hykeham’s Rob who won 47-17. Hykeham face Lincoln Snooker Club E next week and both teams have also to play the league leaders Lincoln Snooker Club F.

Lincoln Snooker Academy are the winners of the George Barrett Snooker League after a 6-0 victory over Lincoln Snooker Club H. There was victories for Jayden, Daniel and two wins each for Brandon and Oliver Bishell. These four players also occupy the top four places in the averages league with Jacob in 13th place. Moorlands & Railway A need jus two points from the remaining three matches after they were held to a 3-3 draw with The Cube & Triangle. Trev put the Moorlands one up when he just got the better of Karl winning 51-40. Josh made it 2-0 with a comfortable 83-19 victory over Glyn. Marley pulled a frame back when he won a black ball frame winning 43-39 against Nathan. Gary levelled the scores for the Cube & Triangle when he defeated John 50-23. Liam then put the Moorlands back in front when he defeated Dan 55-19, but back came the Cube & Triangle when Gary beat Josh 51-30 to earn a share of the spoils. Moorlands & Railway B need two points from the remaining matches to secure third place after they drew 3-3 with Lincoln Snooker Club G Jazz put the Snooker Club side one up when he defeated Duncan 53-17, Th Moorlands then hit back with two closely fought frames, Andy Campbell made it 1-1 when he beat Ollie 56-40 and Scott made it 2-1 with a 58-44 win over Michael. Gibbo levelled the scores when he turned the clock back with a 77-32 victory against Scott. Phil then put Moorlands back in front in the fifth frame when he won a black ball frame winning 52-45 against Ollie. Gibbo levelled the scores winning 52-8 against Andy Riggall for a 3-3 draw.

Hykeham B had a very good 2-0 win against their A team. Dave found his opponent, Fraser in good form and with two breaks of 32 Fraser went on to win 200-103. The other frame between Tristan of the B side and Dan of the A side was much closer and despite a break of 39 from Dan, Tristan went on to win 200-191. This win puts Hykeham B into second place and they play the leaders, Lincoln Snooker Club A next week. Castle Ward have slipped down to third after they were held to a 1-1 draw with Lincoln Snooker Club B. Dean Manders was in good form and with a break of 37 he defeated Leigh 200-158. James is enjoying his first season at Billiards and is learning the game quickly and he recorded a good result against Nick winning 200-112. Lincoln Snooker Club B are proving difficult to beat and although they have only won one match they have drawn ten and lost only two.
