Lincoln Snooker Club have made their own history by winning all the leagues in the LDBSA. The other clubs to do this was over eighty years ago, The Con Club won both the Billiards Leagues in 1921-22, Central Rooms Snooker Club won both the Snooker and the Billiards League in 1941-42 and finally the British Legion also won both the Snooker and the Billiards Leagues in 1942-43 .

With the season coming to a close it very much looks like Lincoln Snooker Club are going to take all the honours. In the Spec & Fix Premier Snooker League, Lincoln Snooker Club A when the finished the season in fine style when they collected maximum points away against their D team. Matt Ransome started the evening in good form winning both his frames against Mark 64-25 and 59-21 to get his side off to a good start. Jamie made it 3-0 when he defeated Simon 85-41. Gav was also in good form when he defeated George 70-11. it was then Matt Lee’s turn he faced George in his first frame and won that 67-49 and in the following frame he compiled a brilliant century break winning 199-0 against Chris. Daren completed the route when he also beat Chris 72-49 to complete the 7-0 victory and the league title. Newark Con Club had to settle for second spot after they beat Lincoln Snooker Club C 6-1. The first frame was excellent and despite a well constructed break of 45 from James but the frame went to Dale winning 68-46. Dale also won his second frame when he defeated Adam Hanson 71-12, it was a rare outing for Adam who hadn’t played for five months. Adam Sears played three consecutive frames for the Newark side, Adam won his first frame 63-41 against Phil and then a 66-15 victory over Gary. It could have been a hattrick of wins for Adam but he was pipped at the post when Stu came from behind to win on the black 53-48. The final two frames went to Matt Bavin, he won a close encounter against Lee winning 54-45 and in the final frame he compiled a break of 66 against Justin to complete the win. Woodhall Spa Con Club had to settle for third place when they were beaten 5-2 at home by Lincoln Snooker Club B. Neil put the home side one up with the help of a 32 break in his 58-7 win against Rick. Rick faired better in the next frame beating Neil 55-19. Calum won both his frames firstly beating Dan 63-25 and then 60-33 also against Dan. Hugo made it 4-1 when he made it three straight defeats for Dan winning 50-16. Hugo then turned on the style with a 78 break against Jamie, but Jamie got his own back when he won the final frame 88-42 with Hugo recording a 42 break.

Lincoln Snooker Club F finished the season on a high when they beat second placed Lincoln Snooker Club E 6-0. Edward put his side one up when he won a close frame 44-33. Matt Todd played very well when he also beat Mark with a score line of 62-38. Player of the season Wayne made it 3-0 when he just scrapped through winning a black ball frame 41-38 against Andy, Wayne losing just one frame in his 23 frames played. Brian also played Andy and he made it 4-0 with a 54-18 victory. James made it 5-0 when he defeated Anthony 53-24, the final frame was also another black baller which went to Nick to complete the whitewash and the league title. With this defeat it left the door wide open for Hykeham A and they didn’t disappoint when they also collected maximum points which saw victories for Steve and Dave in the first two frames with wins over Ken and Matt respectively. Gary made it 3-0 with a 69-31 win against Kev. Dan just got the better of Craig 45-30 leaving the final to frames to Rob and Gary both played Jack, Rob won 46-25 and Gary scored very well winning 73-48 this win has put Hykeham into second place. The final match between Castle Ward A and Hykeham A drew 3-3, Castle Ward went 2-0 up when Adrian beat Michael 63-33 and Tim won a low scoring frame 36-24 against Darren. Hykeham hit back and took the next three frames, Dave made it 2-1 when beat Rob 60-25 and Tristan levelled the match with a 56-21 victory over Adam. Chris put Hykeham in front for the first time when he played very well defeating Adrian 51-35. Tim made it two from two and levelled the scores defeating Chris 56-21 .

Congratulations to the youngsters from the Lincoln Snooker Academy they went through the season unbeaten and now join the record books along with the other teams, and they only dropped 45 frames from the 180 frames played. Congratulations to the coaches as well. Can you guess how many teams have gone throughout the season undefeated? Their latest victory was against second placed Moorlands & Railway A, Jacob fresh from his win in the Premier league last week just lost out to the experienced Trev 58-46. Daniel soon levelled the scores against Liam winning 45-28. The third frame saw Jacob just edging out his opponent Nathan 56-42 which was followed by another win for Daniel when he defeated John 46-16. Jayden made it 4-1 with a 59-36 win over Trev but he couldn’t make it two wins on the night when Liam beat him 58-43. I ‘am 95% sure that Jacob is probably the youngest player to win a frame in the Premier League. Cube & Triangle finished their season off with a 4-2 away win against Lincoln Snooker Club G. The opening two frames were shared Gary put the Cube one up with a comfortable 57-20 win over Michael. Ollie squared the match up when he defeated Glynn 54-29. The Cube & Triangle then took the next two frames, Jack won a black ball frame 40-34 against Jazz and then Karl also won a black ball frame defeating Josh 48-40. Olli pulled a frame back for the Lincoln Snooker Club side and made it two wins on the night with a 51-32 against Dan. Dan has gone on a miserable run of ten straight defeats and he put an end to that when he defeated Michael 58-45. Lincoln Snooker Club H made it two wins in a row, something they haven’t done all season when they beat Moorlands & Railway B 5-1 at home and this was without star player Leigh Blades. However Leigh was practising his flukes on Tuesday Afternoon. The Home side raced into a 4-0 lead, Tom started the ball rolling winning 65-51 against Andy Campbell which was quickly followed by a 56-23 win for Jack against Kev. George was in great form against Duncan with a 72-27 win. Tom was also in good form defeating Phil 69-37, Scott then put the Moor-lands only point on board winning a close frame 59-47 against Ray. George finished the night and the season off when he beat Andy Riggall 59-35.

Lincoln Snooker Club A have won the Billiards league and in doing so Lincoln Snooker Club have made a clean sweep in all the leagues. Lincoln Snooker Club B seem to be enjoying their first season in the Billiards League, although they are in fifth place they are only one point behind Hykeham A, who have completed their fixtures. Lincoln Snooker Club B were away to Hykeham B and were gifted a win when Hykeham could only field one player. The remaining match saw James defeat Tristan 200-100 an excellent result for James. The league Winners Lincoln Snooker Club A were at home to Hykeham A, and looking at the scorecard the result could have been 2-0 either way.
