It was a good week for the top two sides, Lincoln Snooker Club F and Hykeham A both teams collecting maximum points. Lincoln Snooker Club F were at home to Moorlands & Railway C. George Barratt and Mark Handford raced into a 2-0 lead, George beat Andy Campbell 50-29 and Mark also played Andy and beat him 81-26. Mark Gibbons made it 3-0 defeating Kev Betts 55-17. The reliable Ben Rickards made it 4-0 with a comfortable 68-8 victory over Kev. Mark and Ben rounded the night off when they both played Andy Riggall, Mark getting the better of Andy 51-38 and Ben with the help of a 25-break defeated Andy 86-6. Hykeham A didn’t have far to travel, but their team captain Steve Robinson got lost on the way, they were playing their B team. Usually playing a team from the same club can be tricky. Matt May made a rare appearance and didn’t let his team mates down. He played Dave Croft in the first frame and Matt just got the better of Dave winning 50-40. In Mats second frame he played Darren Edwards and was a comfortable winner, winning 63-25. Dave Coutts made it 3-0 when he played Michael Morrison and Dave won that frame 58-19. Rob Chapman played his two frames straight off firstly beating Chris Ellis on the black ball 43-39 and then he beat Michael 54-38. The final frame saw Dan May beat Dave Croft 44-23.
Castle Ward A played the young Academy A side and collected a 5-1 home win. Tim Dunn recorded two victories, defeating Olie Bagnall and then James Lilley. Rob Reeves beat Daniel Sherman and Oli Bishell. Scott Gratrick also beat Daniel. The Academy’s point came from Oli Bagnall when he beat Adam Petty 46-33. Moorlands & Railway B visited Lincoln Snooker Club G and came away with a 5-1 win. Trev Porter and John Rice put the visitors two up, Trev beat Ray Reid 40-11 and John defeated Leigh Blades 45-17. Tom Boyle pulled a frame back when he beat Josh Weaver 44-36. Trev extended the away sides lead to 3-1 defeating Leigh 63-36. John Rice and Josh Weaver completed the victory when they defeated Tom and Ray respectively. Castle Ward C and entertained Cube & Triangle and collected five points, Martin Key was in good form, in his first frame he beat Karl Clayton 67-6 with a 37 break and then in his next frame Martin compiled a break of 43 in his score of 72-1 against Dan Chambers. Tristan Fussey also won his two frames, Tristan won a black ball decider winning 49-47 against Gary Chambers. Then in his second frame he beat Karl 65-25 with a 25 break. Graham Smith made it 5-0 when he beat Dan 56-19 but lost his second frame 57-35 against Gary. Castle Ward B entertained basement side Lincoln Snooker Academy B and were rewarded with a 4-2 home win. Joe Jackson played very well for the Academy side with a 55-28 victory over Ken Hill to put the away side one up. Joe stayed at the table but was beaten by Craig Wallace 52-20. Matt Strickson put the home side one up with a 56-24 victory over James Sawyer. Kev Cottam also played James and won 40-18 for a 3-1 lead. Kev made it to wins from two on the night when he beat Josh Hackney 46-27 to secure a win on the night. Josh played the remaining frame against Craig and won 55-21.
