Castle Ward A recorded a 5-1 away win over Moorlands & Railway C. Rob Reeves started the ball rolling when he recorded a 64-25 win over Andy Campbell. Scott Simpson for the Moorlands side levelled the scores when he just got the better of Tim Dunn winning 62-51. Adrian Bunn played Phil Barnett twice and winning both with a similar score line, the first 60-27 and then 61-30 to put his side 3-1 up. Tim made it 4-1 with a 72-54 victory over Scott. The final frame saw a 52-31 win for Rob against Andy Riggall. League leaders Lincoln Snooker Club F on 5-1 against the youngsters from the Academy B side. The leaders won the first five frames through George Barrett, Mark Handford and two frames from Gibbo. Ben Rickards shared his two frames, Joe Jackson won a black ball game 37-34 against Ben. Hykeham A hard a hard fixture playing Castle Ward C, Hykeham A in second place and Castle Ward in third place. Martin Key soon put his side two up with victories over Rob Chapman and Steve Robinson. Craig Starbuck was up next and put his side in a 4-0 commanding lead firstly beating Dave Coutts 62-20 and then winning a black ball game against Gary Beardsley 49-46. Dan May put Hykeham’s first point on the night when he beat Tristan Fussey 53-46 and then 52-23 in the final frame. Cube & Triangle won only their third match of the season when they were away to fellow strugglers Lincoln Snooker Club G. Karl Clayton put the Cube side one up when he defeated Leigh Blades 40-16. The Snooker Clubs Captain Tom Boyle levelled the scores when he beat Pete Watson 63-22. Leigh came back to the table in the third frame and faced Gary Chambers but was beaten 60-14. Tom faced Karl but was also beaten 49-36 and with no player for the remaining two frames and the points going to the Tube & Triangle. This victory lifts the Cube & Triangle above their opponents by one point and just one point behind Moorlands & Railway C. Moorlands & Railway B played the youngsters from Lincoln Snooker Academy A side. Dave Croft opened the scoring defeating Daniel Shearman 66-28. Oli May levelled the scores with a useful win over Scott Morrison winning 44-17. Oli Bishell put the Academy side in front when he played very well to beat Darren Edwards 52-32. Oli May played his second frame on the night and was very unlucky not to put his side further in front losing a black ball game 47-46 against Dave. Darren got the better of Oli Bishell winning 59-46 and Scott rounded the night up with a 53-29 Victory over James Lilley. Moorlands & Railway B were held to a 3-3 draw against Castle Ward B. Ken Hill put Castle Ward one up with a 55-15 victory over Josh Weaver. The experienced Trev Porter levelled the score at 1-1 with a 54-26 win over Craig Wallace. Kev Cottam made it 2-1 when he just got the better of Nathan Shasby 56-46. Liam Shasby levelled the scores at 2-2 when he beat Matt Strickson 46-31. Josh Weaver put the Moorlands back in front when he played really well to beat Ken 81-40. The final frame saw Matt get his own back on Liam when they faced each other again in the final frame which Matt won 57-48.
