Spec & Fix Snooker Premier League Lincoln Snooker Club A collected six of the seven points on offer at their stablemates Lincoln Snooker Club C. Daren Doughty made it four wins from four when he beat Stu Cannings 62-26, this was followed up by two victories for Matt Ransome, firstly beating Phil Cross 61-18 and a similar score line against Adam Hanson winning 61-16. Gav Whittle made it 4-0 with a comfortable win over Gary Falkinder 71-6. Justin Hunt put his sides first and only point of the night when he played well to defeat Gav 56-32. The final two frames for the A team was played by Jamie Barker, firstly beating young James Lilley 63-13 and then defeating Lee Applewhite 62-36. This win puts Lincoln Snooker Club A four points clear over Newark Con Club. Newark Con Club were away to Woodhall Spa Con Club, the home side didn’t stand about and raced into a 3-0 lead, Jamie Turner defeated Dale Schofield 2-0, in Jamie’s first frame he compiled a break of 66 in his 68-23 win and with a break of 36 in his second frame winning 62-1. Dan Burt made it 3-0 with a 60-44 win over Matt Bavin. Matt put his sides first point on the scoreboard and with a break of 34 he took the frame 53-16. Matt remained at the table and faced Marc Pickworth and was made to work hard for his teams second point, Marc recording a break of 41 but just fell short of a victory with Matt winning 70-58. The remaining two frames saw Rob Hall compile a break of 53 in his 74-5 win over Marc and then beating Jamie 73-16 for a hard fought 4-3 away win. Lincoln Snooker Club B won 4-3 away to Lincoln Snooker Club D, Glenn Foster played the first three frames. He lost the first two frames 42-25 against Simon Mower and then Rick Chester won a close game 49-37. The side must of thought their luck was about to change after losing their first three matches, but the B side hit back when Glenn defeated Chris Robinson 62-38. Chris also lost his second frame to Calum Baptist 67-21. Calum made it 3-2 defeating Ben Rickards 67-17, Ben then played Rick Epton and won a close encounter 55-42 against Mark Handford to complete the fight back.
Lincoln Security Snooker League 1 Lincoln Snooker Club F take over the top spot by virtue of winning one more match than Castle Ward A. The F team were away to Hykeham A, Paul Bean won the opening frame of the night when he defeated Dave Coutts 62-37. Dave then played Brian Lawson and levelled the scores playing very well to win 71-18. Gary Beardsley made it 2-1 to Hykeham defeating James Durance 61-45. Wayne Bean made a welcome return to the LDBSA having not played for some time and with a break of 25 he beat Gary 76-23. Not to be out done by his brother, Paul also recorded a 25 break in his 66-12 against Dan May. Dan also lost his second frame 38-48 against Brian. Castle Ward A drew their match 3-3 against their B side. Adrian Bunn took the opening frame 60-25 against Ken Hill. Matt Strickson won a black ball game 46-42 against Rob Reeves to level the match. Tim Dunn restored the A teams lead defeating Craig Wallace 54-40. Ken returned to the table to play the fourth frame and he won that 56-22. Matt made it two wins from two when he played very well to beat Adrian 59-33. The final frame went to the A team when Tim beat Craig 59-15 and prevented the B team from gaining their first win of the season. Lincoln Snooker Club E are just one point behind the two front runners, they entertained Hykeham B and won 4-2. Mark Taylor shared the opening two frames both against Michael Morrison. The first frame went to Mark 58-37 and Michael won the second 45-37. Stephen Burnett and Darren Edwards also played each other twice, Stephen took the first 56-46 and Darren replied with a 50-39 win. Anthony Liddell and Chris Ellis played the two remaining frames which Paul took them both, winning the first frame 75-32 and the final frame of the night 49-36.
George Barrett Snooker League 2 All the results in the George Barrett league 2 ended up 5-1, Lincoln Snooker Club H recorded their first win of the season and in doing so doubled their league points and now have ten points. They were unlucky not to collect maximum points when in the third frame of the night Karl Clayton for the Cube & Triangle won a black ball game against Tom Boyle winning 45-44. In the two previous frames George Lorenti won a black ball game defeating Glynn Ayris 40-33. Leigh Blades made it 2-0 when he defeated Gary Chambers 38-11. After Tom’s frame Leigh returned back to the table and potted very well to beat Marley Clayton 69-43. George won his second frame in another close encounter when he beat J. Belton 54-44. The final frame saw Ray Reid defeat Gary Wdoo 48-31. Lincoln Academy remain in second place also after an excellent performance away to Moorlands & Railway B. Andy Campbell put the home team one up winning a black ball game 48-41. Jacob Moura levelled the scores at 1-1 also winning a black ball game 51-44 against Kev Betts. Daniel Sherman made it 2-1 defeating Phil Barnett 57-37. The fourth and fifth frames were also close frames, firstly Brandon Staples defeated Scott Simpson 52-41 and then Jayden Hunt also winning a black ball frame 47-44 against Duncan MacDonald 47-44. The last frame saw Oli Bishell paired up against David Hayes, and it was Oli who took the frame 58-31. Moorlands and Railway A were the other big winners on the night with a 5-1 away win over Lincoln Snooker Club G. Trev Porter started the ball rolling when he defeated Ollie Schmidt 50-28 which was followed by Josh Weaver defeating Mark Gibbons 58-24. Jazz Bailey pulled a frame back winning 51-22 against Nathan Shasby, which turned out to be their only point on the night. Liam Shasby won a close encounter against Josh Hackney winning 43-35. John Rice made it 4-1 also winning a close game 37-28 against Mark. The final frame saw Josh win comfortably 64-18 against Michael Stacey to complete a very good victory. Next Week will see the top two teams, Moorlands & Railway A and the Academy side play each other.
