Spec & Fix Snooker Premier League. Newark Con Club and Woodhall Spa Con Club have reduced Lincoln Snooker Club A lead to just two points. Newark were home to Lincoln Snooker Club C, Dale Schofield put the home side two up defeating Justin Hunt on both occasions 59-26 and 51-35. Stu Cannings pulled one frame back when he defeated Adam Sears 53-35. Dave Jobling won both of his frames firstly beating Stu 53-41 and then 59-31 against Phil Cross. Home team Captain Rob Hall completed the victory beating Gary Falkinder 64-33 with a 38 break, this was followed up with a break of 47 in his 80-30 win over Lee Applewhite. Woodhall Spa Con Club were away to Lincoln Snooker Club B and they were also 6-1 winners. Calum Baptist was the only winner for Lincoln Snooker Club B and this came in the very first frame when he beat Neil Dowlman 68-18, the same two players played the second frame and Neil reversed the scores winning 82-18. Jamie Turner played three frames in a row and won all three. In his first frame Jamie played Hugo Tomas 71-9 and Hugo again in the next frame 60-1 with a break of 59. In his third frame Jamie faced Glenn Foster and won that 90-41 with Glenn compiling a break of 35. Glenn also played three frames in a row, in his final two frames he played Dan Burt, Dan took the first frame on the black 46-43 and 59-48 in the final frame of the night. League Leaders Lincoln Snooker Club A faced their D team, Matt Ransome put the A team two up, firstly beating George Barratt 69-38 then Mark Handford 72-19 with a 36 break. Daren Doughty extended their lead with a break of 40 in his 76-15 win over Simon Mower. Rick Chester gained his teams first point of the night when he won a black ball frame 51-48. Jamie Barker made it 4-1 defeating Rick 45-12. Chris Robinson defeated Jamie 69-48 and then Ben Rickards also defeated Jamie 67-59 to make the result 4-3 to the A team.

Lincoln Security Snooker League 1. It was the away sides that won this week with them all winning 4-2, Castle Ward A are still top by just one point over Lincoln Snooker Club E and two points in front of Lincoln Snooker Club F. Castle Ward were away to Hykeham B and away team captain Rob Reeves won a close frame against Dave Croft winning 45-37. Hykeham then took the next two frames, firstly Michael Morrison defeated Tim Dunn 61-45 and Tristan Fussey beat Adam Petty 57-14. Aidy Bunn played the next two frames for the Castle Ward team and won them both 61-36, firstly beating Darren Edwards then followed by Michael Morrison for a 3-2 lead. The final frame saw Tim Dunn complete the victory with a 25 break in his 55-12 win over Tristan. Lincoln Snooker Club E were away to their F team and with Paul and Wayne Bean not available the E team took full advantage. Edward Taylor put the F side one up when he played well to defeat Steve Burnett 46-35. The same two players played the second frame and this time Steve won that 59-14. Andy Gill put his side 2-1 up when he defeated Matt Todd 62-15, Andy then defeated Brian Lawson 61-49. Mark Taylor played the two remaining frames for the E side, he lost his first frame 48-35 against Nick McCauley but won his second frame 61-13 against James Durance. Castle Ward B remain bottom of the league and are still without a win to their name. they lost their latest match 2-4 against Hykeham A. Hykeham raced into a 3-0 lead which saw victories for Rob Chapman, Dave Coutts and Gary Beardsley. Matt Strickson stopped the rot when he defeated Rob 56-45. Dan May made it 4-1 with a 58-24 victory over Craig Wallace. Dan then played Matt but it was Matt who took the frame 55-19 with a break of 25.

George Barrett Snooker League 2 The top two teams Lincoln Snooker Academy and Moorlands & Railway A, couldn’t be separated after a 3-3 draw. These two teams are well clear of the other four teams, and they are separated by just two points. Trev Porter put the Moorlands one up when he defeated Oli May 65-28. Jacob Louca with a break of 25 levelled the scores with a 54-39 win over Nathan Shasby. Moorlands went back in front when Liam Shasby defeated Daniel Sherman 52-28, but Jayden Hunt levelled the scores again when he defeated John Rice 44-29. Trev Porter and Oli Bishell played the fifth frame and it was high scoring, which went to Trev 80-71. Brandon Staples made it 3-3 when he defeated John 55-41 for a well deserved share of the spoils. The Cube & Triangle recorded their first win of the season when they defeated Lincoln Snooker Club G, Jack Belton, Gary Chambers won his two frames and Karl Clayton for the Cube with Oli Schmidt and Michael Stacey replied for the Lincoln Snooker Club side. Moorlands & Railway B were the biggest movers after a 5-1 home win over Lincoln Snooker Club H. The Moorlands side didn’t stand about and they raced into a 5-0 lead. Kev Betts got the show underway when he defeated George Lorenti 51-37 which was followed by the first win of the season for Duncan MacDonald who defeated Tom Cutten 47-23. Phil Barnett also recorded his first win when he just got the better of Leigh Blades 54-42. The third player to open his account this season was Andy Riggall, Andy played Ray Reid and won 50-37. Scott Simpson made it 5-0 defeating Jim Byrne 71-44. The final frame saw Tom Boyle defeat Ian Baker 64-34 for their only point of the night.
