The youngsters from the Lincoln Snooker Academy B who are adrift at the bottom of the first division were beaten for the 27th time this season. Adam Petty put the Ward one up when he played debutant Jayden Hunt 50-15. Tim Dunn and Adrian Bunn defeated Jazz and Josh 59-24 and 44-20 respectively. Adam faced Jayden for the 2nd time, but the result went to Jayden who won 53-16 with a 27 break. Tim and Adrian also played their same opponent as they did in the first frame. The results went the same, Tim winning 49-4 and Adrian 57-16. The Academy A side faired better they held third placed Castle Ward C to a 3-3 draw. Malc Firmstone put the home, Castle Ward one up when he won a black ball game 60-53 against Oli Bagnall. Daniel Sherman levelled the scores when he recorded a 59-13 win over Graham Smith. Oli Bishell put the Academy side 2-1 in front defeating Malc 55-44. The reliable and Castle Wards best player Martin Key levelled the scores defeating Daniel 53-28. Oli Bishell put his side back in front winning a close encounter 53-47 against Graham. Martin completed the draw when he beat Oli May 57-11. Hykeham A who are in second place and are well in front of third placed Castle Ward C and are four points behind leaders Lincoln Snooker Club F, white washed opponents Lincoln Snooker Club G. Lincoln Snooker club side had to concede two frames for the second week running and have dropped a place to eleventh. Nevertheless, Hykeham still had to win the four remaining frames and they did that comfortably, Steve Robinson started the ball rolling with a 50-11 victory over Ray Reid which was followed by Dave Coutts defeating Tom Boyle 78-14. Gary Beardsley played Ray and won 66-16 which was followed by Dan May beating Tom 53-16. League leaders Lincoln Snooker Club F faced Castle Ward B, George Barratt started the evening off with a 64-26 win over Craig Wallace. Mark Handford made it 2-0 when he beat Ken Hill 62-33. Mark ‘Gibbo’ Gibbons played two successive frames. Mark lost his first frame 36-52 against Matt Strickson and won his second frame 46-27 against Kev Cottam. Ben Rickards played the two remaining frames, he just got the better of Kev winning 54-43 and then with a 27 break in his second frame defeating Craig 62-20. Moorlands & Railway B entertained draw specialist Cube & Triangle. The Cube who have drawn ten of their games but have only won three matches. They lost their nineteenth match 4-2. Josh Weaver put the Moorlands one up when he defeated Pete Watson 55-18 which was followed up with a black ball decider between Trev Porter and Karl Clayton which was won by Trev 58-51. Gary Chambers pulled a frame back when he defeated John Rice 61-26. Liam Shasby made it 3-1 when he also won a black ball game against Pete winning 57-54. Karl made it 3-2 when he beat Nathan Shasby 52-36, Josh completed the victory when he defeated Gary 58-11 with the help of a 25 break. Fourth placed Hykeham B who are only three points behind third placed Castle Ward C after a 5-1 home win over Moorlands & Railway C. Dave Croft put his side one up with a 53-28 win over Andy Riggall. Andy remained at the table and faced Chris Ellis, but it was Chris who won 58-30. Scott Morrison made it 3-0 defeating Andy Campbell 56-21 which was followed up with a victory for Darren Edwards when he beat Andy 66-19. Scott Simpson managed to just get the better of Michael Morrison winning 41-22 for the Moorlands only point of the night. Chris Ellis rolled back the years and with a 25 break he beat Scott 43-24 to complete the victory.
