Lincoln Snooker Club D recorded their first win after six defeats against Woodhall Spa Con Club and it was a good scalp to collect, despite losing the opening two frames. Dan won the opening frame for Woodhall Spa defeating Mark 84-17 with a break of 54. Jamie made it 2-0 when he won with a similar score line winning 86-15 against George. Mark returned to play his second frame and faired better with a 60-24 win over Marc, George followed Mark when he also won his second frame when he defeated Dan 50-18 to level the scores at 2-2. Chris played the three remaining frames for the Lincoln Snooker Club. In his first frame he found Jamie continuing his good form taking the fifth frame 63-7. this stirred Chris and he played a good frame against Marc winning 74-35. The final and winning frame saw Chris defeat Dan 57-31. After this weeks results they are just one point behind Lincoln Snooker Club C. Newark Con Club and League leaders Lincoln Snooker Club A met for the final time this season and the Snooker Club side have had the upper hand up to now with four wins and one defeat. This week it was Newark who gained the upper hand when they won 4-3. Dave put Newark one up when he defeated Matt Ransome 66-45. Matt reversed the score with the help of a 52 break in his score of 87-13. Newark went back in front when Adam defeated Gavin 56-17 and Adam followed that with another win when he beat Jamie 81-26. Jamie got his own back defeating Adam 60-26, Adam as been in good form of late and on Monday night he defeated his team mate and team Captain in the Ken Baptist Senior Snooker Semi-final 4-2. The final two frames were played between Newark’s Captain Rob against Matt Lee, Rob won the first frame 56-17 to lead 4-2 but Matt won the final frame 67-22 to bring an end to their seven match unbeaten run. Lincoln Snooker Club B are in fourth place and are now twenty points clear of this weeks opponents Lincoln Snooker Club C. Phil put the C team two up with two victories over Calum with frame scores of 60-34 and a black ball frame 48-45. Hugo played three successive frames for the B team and won all three. Hugo had two wins over James winning 65-18 and 59-49 and then defeated Stu 55-42 for a 3-2 lead. Glenn made it 4-2 when he came from behind to win a black ball frame 50-48 also against Stu. The final frame went to the C team when Lee played and beat Glenn 59-28. The Lincoln Snooker Club B team have won five of the six matches against the Lincoln Snooker Club C team.

The two Hykeham sides met for the final time this season and the A side have had the upper hand with three wins and a draw next to their name. the final match resulted in a 4-2 win for the B team. Tristan and Darren put the B team two up, Tristan defeated Gary 59-17 and Darren beat Rob 51-31. Dan put the first point on the board for the A team when he beat Michael 56-43. Michael made up for his defeat when he beat Steve 65-47. Darren and Rob played each other for the second time on the night and this time Rob won 57-25. Tristan made it 4-2 when he had a good game against Dan winning 53-42. After this defeat Hykeham A are just two points behind Lincoln Snooker Club E and these two teams meet in a couple of weeks. Lincoln Snooker Club F are fifteen points clear at the top of the Lincoln Security Snooker League after a 4-2 away win over basement side Castle Ward B. With only four wins next to their name Castle Ward didn’t make it easy for the league leaders. The impressive Paul put the leaders one up when he defeated Ken 63-27. Matt levelled the scores for the Ward with a good performance defeating Brian 60-36. Edward restored the lead for the away side with a very good result defeating Kev 63-25, but back came Castle Ward when Jack defeated Nick 61-43 with the help of a 31 break. Jack couldn’t repeat the performance in his second frame when Jimmy beat him 56-24. The final frame saw Paul make it nineteen wins from twenty two when he beat Matt 52-30. Lincoln Snooker Club E were held to a 3-3 draw with Castle Ward A, both sides have had indifferent results of late, The Snooker club side are now winless in the last four matches and Castle Ward have drawn three of the last four. Steve played two consecutive frames and put his side two up defeating Rob on the black 42-35 and another close frame when he won 55-43 against Tim. Adrian is having another good season and is their best player this season and he pulled a frame back when he beat Andy 53-13. Andy made it 3-1 when he won a black ball frame against the improving Adam winning 50-44. Anthony also played two consecutive frames but failed to add to the 3-1 score line, Adrian with a break of 32 beat him 74-32 and Tim won the final frame 40-22 to earn a good fight back.

The Lincoln Snooker Academy side must like playing the Cube & Triangle in the six meetings they have had this season they have taken 30 points out of a possible 36. their latest result was a 5-1 away win and they just need just four points from the remaining four matches to lift the title. They wont take the foot off the pedal they will be trying to complete the season unbeaten. Jacob was first up and he played Marley and won a low scoring frame on the black 31-26. Brandon also won a black ball frame when he was up against Jack winning 54-52 for a 2-0 lead for the Academy side. The impressive Jayden was next and it didn’t take him long to make it 3-0 when he defeated Gary 53-16. Daniel made it 4-0 well he played very well when he defeated Dan 60-20 this was followed by a second frame for Jayden this time against Karl but the result was the same a 60-24 victory and a 5-0 lead. The final frame saw Jack and Daniel play their second frames of the evening and this time the point went to the Cube & Triangle when Jack won a close encounter 63-54. The two Moorlands & Railway sides met and the B side recorded their first win over their A team. The B side were the home team and they raced into a 4-0 lead. Andy Campbell started the ball rolling with a 59-37 win over Josh. Duncan played well against the experienced Trev Porter when he came from behind to pip him on the black 53-52. Scott who is well placed in the averages league made it 27 wins from 36 matches played when he defeated Nathan 59-25. Phil Barnett with a 24 break made it 4-0 when he defeated Liam 63-49. John put the A side first point on the board when he beat Phil 43-29. The final frame saw Josh earn his teams second point when he defeated Andy Riggall 54-17. The Moorlands & Railway A side are 17 points in front of their B side and are favourites for the runners up spot. The two Lincoln Snooker Club sides met and there is not much to choose between the two teams and over the season the H side have only lost one match against their counterparts. James put the H side one up with a comfortable victory over Jazz 49-9. Michael levelled the scores when he won a low scoring frame winning on the black 36-29 against George. Jazz played his second frame of the evening and he played a lot better against Ray winning 59-23. Leigh played his first frame of the evening and he also won a black ball frame winning 51-46 against Josh. Josh didn’t fair any better in the fifth frame losing 47-11 against James, Leigh completed the 4-2 victory when he won a close frame 55-44 against Michael.

The teams in this weeks fixtures couldn’t be separated with a 1-1 in both matches. It was top versus bottom at the Lincoln Snooker Club. The handicaps playing a big part in this fixture, Anna was up first against James, Anna was giving James 110 point start and this proved a bit to much for her with James winning 200-81. Darren also had to give his opponent, Leigh a big start ,140 point start and it was a close match with Darren winning 200-185. Castle Ward A and Hykeham B met in the other fixture, Hykeham had lost only two matches but had only won two and this meant Castle Ward maintained their second place in the league table. Fraser won the opening match against Scott with a comfortable 200-125 victory. The remaining match between Chris and Nick was a little closer with Nick winning 200-167.
