Newark on Club 4-3 Woodhall Spa Lincoln Snooker Club A 7-0 Lincoln Snooker Club B

After two defeats Lincoln Snooker Club A returned back to winning ways, they played and defeated their B side. Daren Doughty and Matt Ransome put their side two when they defeated Calum Baptist 51-47 and 65-8. Matt stayed at the table and faced Rick Epton and won a high scoring frame winning a re-spotted black 75-68. Gavin Whittle made it 4-0 and with a break of 47 defeated Glenn Foster 73-5. Glenn then played Matt Lee and didn’t fair any better with Matt winning 57-15. Jamie Barker played the two remaining frames firstly defeating Rick 63-13 and finally 59-16 against Glenn. Lincoln Snooker club now have a nine-point lead.

Newark Con Club entertained Woodhall Spa Con Club which resulted in a 4-3 win. Matt Bavin shared the opening two frames both against Neil Dowlman. The first frame went to Neil when he won 61-31, but Matt hit back and levelled the scores with an 80-11 victory. Nigel Salmon put his side back in front with a 66-34 win over Adam Sears. Rob Hall was in form and in his first frame against Nigel he recorded a 51 break to win 68-40. He then faced his good friend Chris Taylor and the frame went the same way with Rob winning 93-22. Chris returned to the table for the last two frames and faced Dave Jobling in them both. Dave took the first 72-47 but then Chris won the final frame 69-43.

Lincoln Snooker Club C defeated their E team 6-1, the C team are undefeated in eight matches and are thirteen points clear at the top of the Premier League Shield sponsored by Lincoln Snooker Club. Simon Mower put his sides first point on the board when he defeated Steve Burnett 47-25, Steve stayed at the table and this time he faced Damon Sykes, but it was Damon who took the honours winning 61-37. Damon then made it 3-0 defeating Andy Gill 55-26. Chris Robinson continued his teams winning ways when he defeated Andy 61-30. Paul Argyle won his sides only point of the night when he just got the better of Chris winning 64-50. Home team captain Lee Applewhite won the remaining two frames both against Paul, Lee won 54-46 in his first frame and finished off with a 52-37 win.
Lincoln Snooker Club D are in second spot in this league but are some thirteen points behind Lincoln Snooker Club C. Their latest result was a 5-2 home win over Moorlands & Railway A. Sean Falkinder put the away side one up when he won a black ball decider against Phil Cross. Sean stayed at the table for the second frame but this time he found an inform Ed Taylor who won 62-10. Paul Bean then played two frames against Gary Falkinder both frames were of a similar score line for Paul, he won the first frame 58-17 and the second 51-17. Justin Hunt also played two frames against the same player, Joe Hutchinson. Joe took the first frame 57-46 but Justin came back and played well for a 65-30 score. Stu Cannings won the final frame 67-25 against Sean Falkinder.

Another good week’s results for the three Castle Ward sides, the C side played basement side Lincoln Snooker Academy B. Tristan Fussey won the first frame of the night when he beat Daniel Sherman 59-32. Martin Key won his first frame 67-29 against Oli May. Craig Starbuck made it 3-0 when he beat Oli Bishell 62-40 Tristan returned back to the table and he defeated Oli May 57-28. Martin completed his two frames with a comfortable 67-23 win over Oli Bishell. James Lilley won his sides only point of the night when he recorded a very good win over Craig. The Castle Ward A side also won 5-1 at home to Lincoln Snooker Academy B team. The reliable Adrian Bunn won the opening frame 56-21 against Jared Bailey, it was a similar score in the second frame for Jared when he lost to Rob Reeves 42-21. Tim Dunn made it 3-0 with a 48-28 win over Joe Jackson, Joe stayed at the table and he gained his sides lone point of the night with useful 53-33 win over Adam Petty. Scott Gratrick played very well and he beat James Sawyer 74-26. Adam Petty won the last frame of the night with a comfortable victory over James winning 60-5. The B team were away to Lincoln Snooker Club F and soon found themselves two up when Ken Hill beat George Barrett 59-34 and a black ball game 42-35. The snooker club side hit back and Ben Rickards with a 40-break defeated Kev Cottam 80-5, Mark Handford levelled it up with a 78-19 win against Kev and recorded a 25 break in the process. Mark Gibbons put his side in front for the first time with a 66-36 win over Matt Strickson. Matt then made it 3-3 with an excellent win over Ben winning 52-14.
Hykeham A are just one point behind the leaders after a 4-2 home win over Lincoln Snooker Club G. Dave Coutts opened the scoring when he played a good game defeating Andy Nicholl 63-14, Dan May and Rob Chapman soon made it 3-0 with victories over Leigh Blades and Matt Todd respectively, Rob with a break of 28. Tom Boyle pulled one frame back when he won a black ball decider 40-37 against Steve Robinson. The fifth frame also went to the Snooker Club side when Matt defeated Rob 64-30 for a 3-2 score line. The final frame was another black ball game and this time he went to Hykeham’s Dan May when he beat Andy 52-50.
Moorlands and Railway B raced into a 2-0 lead when they were away to Cube & Triangle. Trev Porter won the opening frame 47-15 against Gary Chambers and Josh Weaver defeated Pete Watson 46-5. Karl Clayton won the third frame 68-20 against Nathan Shasby 68-20, Liam Shasby made it 3-1 to the away side when he a good 44-14 win over Gary. Pete Watson won the second frame for the Cube & Triangle when he won a close game 51-42 against John Rice. The final frame saw Josh win his second frame on the night defeating Karl 57-28.
Hykeham B are ten points clear of the fifth placed side, Castle Ward A after a 5-1 away win over Moorlands & Railway C despite losing the opening frame when Andy Campbell beat Dave Croft 65-35. Michael Morrison and Scott Morrison made it 2-1 for the away side with victories over Scott Simpson 73-44 and against Phil Barnett 51-20 respectively. Dave Croft played his second frame and played very well to beat Scott Simpson 80-25. Michael played Ian Baker in the fifth frame and with a 27 break he won 59-14. Scott Morrison won the final frame of the night 47-39 against Andy Riggall to complete the comeback.
