Lincoln Snooker Club A have won the Premier Snooker League sponsored by Spec & Fix Locking Solutions after a 6-1 away win over Woodhall Spa, while Lincoln Snooker Club B did their A team a favour by beating Newark Con Club 4-3 at home. Adam Sears put Newark one up when he played a very good game defeating Calum Baptist 73-50. Adam remained at the table but this time he faced Rick Epton, Rick just held out for a close 58-48 win. Matt Bavin putt his side back in front with a good victory over Glenn Foster 63-42. Matt increased his sides lead to 3-1 when he beat Rick 63-41. The snooker Club side hit back, firstly Lee Mason defeated Dave Jobling 80-45 and then Dave Norman also beat Dave Jobling 71-28 to square the match at 3-3. In the final frame Lee defeated Dave Jobling 47-19. Lincoln Snooker Club A lost the opening frame when Woodhall Spa’s Neil Dowlman beat Matt Ransome 64-36, Neil with a 37 break. After that it was one-way traffic with the Snooker Club side piling on the pressure. Matt Lee recorded a comfortable win when he beat Neil 64-36. Gavin Whittle with a break of 58 beat Kieran Richards-Witham 86-8. Matt Ransome played a further two frames in a row both against Kieran and both with a similar score-line, the first was 62-25 followed by a 62-24 to put his side 4-1 up. Matt Lee with a break of 60 beat Nigel Salmon 75-12 and then Gavin beat Nigel 59-8 to complete the victory.

Lincoln Snooker Club C have won the Premier League Shield Sponsored by Lincoln Snooker Club by ten points. They won thirteen of the last fourteen matches. The C team were away to Moorlands & Railway A and were 2-5 winners. Damon Sykes put the Snooker Club side 2-0 up after victories over Gary Falkinder and Joe Hutchinson. Chris Robinson made it 3-0 when he beat Sean Falkinder 52-40. Simon Mower increased the lead to 4-0 when he won a close match 52-43 against Gary. Simon’s second frame was even closer but it was Joe Hutchinson for the Moorlands who won 56-53. Lee Applewhite played the two remaining frames, firstly he beat Sean 60-29 but then lost to Joe 55-22. Lincoln Snooker Club D finish in second place after a 5-2 away win over their E team. This win meant the Lincoln Snooker Club D side finished some 35 points clear of the Moorlands & Railway Side. Paul Bean started the ball rolling for the D team and with a break of 50 he beat Anthony Liddell 65-36. Anthony faired better in his second frame when Adam Hanson made a rare appearance, Anthony winning 57-11. Phil Cross and Stu Cannings both played Mark Taylor, Phil won 47-14 and Stu winning 61-48. Paul also played Mark but just lost out on a black ball game 37-31. Phil Cross made in 4-2 when he beat Andy Gill 44-15 this was followed by Justin Hunt also beating Andy 58-24.

The top match in the Adam Sears Snooker Coaching Academy Snooker league 1 was between the top two sides, Lincoln Snooker Club F and Hykeham A. The Snooker Club side didn’t stand about and soon raced into an unassailable lead. George Barrett won the first two frames firstly beating Steve Robinson 48-13 and then with a 55-20 victory over Dave Coutts. Mark Handford made it 3-0 when he beat Dan May 68-8. Gary Beardsley was the only winner on the night for Hykeham, firstly defeating Gibbo 66-22 and then with a good 56-34 victory over Ben Rickards. Sandwiched in between those Ben beat Rob Chapman 54-32. The Snooker Club side are five points clear at the top and have only lost one match from the 28 played. Castle Ward C are in third place with a slender one-point lead over Hykeham B. The Castle Ward C were 4-2 winners against Lincoln Snooker Club G with Tristan Fussey recorded two wins and Martin Key and Craig Starbuck with a win each, Tom Boyle and Matt Todd for the Lincoln Snooker Club G. Hykeham B entertained Moorlands & Railway B and collected four of the six points, Hykeham’s winners Dave Croft & Darren Edwards with two wins each, Nathan Shasby and John Rice replied for the Moorlands. The two Lincoln Snooker Academy sides played each other and the A side were the victors, Daniel Sherman, Oli Bagnall, Oli Bishell and James Lilley with the points and Josh Hackney and Jack Lowe for the B team. Castle Ward C faced draw specialists Cube & Triangle, the Cube side have only recorded two wins so far this season but have drawn ten and it’s the valuable points from the drawn matches that have kept them above the two Academy sides. Gary Chambers put the Cube & Triangle one up with a 50-39 win over Rob Reeves. Tim Dunn with a break of 28 defeated Karl Clayton 59-21 which was followed by a 67-33 win for Adam Petty against Pete Watson. Gary pulled a frame back for the away side when he beat Adrian Bunn 61-24 and a 2-2 score-line. Scott Gratrick put Castle Ward back in front when he beat Karl 62-26 and Tim Dunn completed the victory when he beat Pete 46-33. Mid-Table Castle Ward B were away to Moorlands & Railway C and came away with a 3-3 draw. The home side went two up when Andy Campbell and Scott Simpson recorded victories over Ken Hill and Craig Wallace. Matt Strickson and Kev Cottam hit back to level the scores, Matt beat Phil Barnett 53-36 and Kev defeated Andy 59-36. Scott Simpson was in good form for the Moorlands side and he put his side back in front defeating Kev 79-20. Matt made it two wins from two when he beat home side Captain Andy Riggall 58-30 for a share of the spoils.
