Billiards League Announcement

BILLIARDS LEAGUE 2021/22 ANNOUNCEMENT
All, following last week’s closing date for Billiards Team entries, disappointingly only 2 teams have entered, meaning a league is unviable.
The LDBSA Committee remains keen to try and formulate a Billiards league, before otherwise proposing a singles Billiards League in 2022.
We intend to offer interested Billiards players/teams a revised start date for the Billiards League after the end of the Snooker League Season (start date indicatively 19th April 2022) and with enough teams could run 10 weeks/till end of June 22.

We feel this revised start date deserves a try for the following reasons:
Having a Billiards after the Snooker League extends the cue sports season
 Snooker or Billiards Players with other commitments at this current time have better opportunity to sign up when the snooker league has ended
 Scope for improving reserve numbers in the teams
 Improved Table availability across all venues which could lead to improving overall interest in the game.
Individual Billiards Competitions are unaffected by this announcement.
