Lincoln Snooker Club A have made it seven wins from seven after a 5-2 home win over Belvedere Showboats. Jamie Barker got the home side off to a good start, firstly defeating Bry-an Slack 59-48 and then an excellent 73-26 win over Jimmy Gillespie. Jimmy remained and the table to play Matt Lee and it was Jimmy who took the frame 58-26. Matt made amends in his second frame with breaks of 64-53 to win 117-4 against Joe Marum. Bryan Slack pulled another frame back when he beat Gav Whittle 63-45. Gav played his second frame against Joe and with a break of 40 Gav won 69-8. The remaining frame saw Lee Applewhite take the frame 68-40 against Bryan. Newark Belvedere Club also won 5-2 at home to Lincoln Snooker Club C. Dale Schofield took the opening frame 60-4 against Paul Bean, Paul hit back and beat Dale 66-26. Matt Bavin and Matt Todd played the third frame which went to the Belvedere Matt winning 58-5. Dave Jobling extended the lead for the home side when he beat Nick McCauley 57-7. Paul Bean played his third frame, and he made it a double when he beat Dave Jobling 62-8. Rob Hall played the two remaining frames for the Belvedere and his first frame recorded a break of 58 in his 99-15 win over Matt Todd and finally defeating Nick McCauley 58-19.

Castle Ward A had an excellent 5-1 home win over Hykeham A. Adrian Bunn open his account on the evening when he defeated Steve Robinson 65-42. Dave Coutts levelled the scores for Hyke-ham when he beat Tim Dunn 50-39. Adam Petty put Castle Ward back in front with a 58-25 win over Rob Chapman. Castle Ward then took control which saw further wins for Adrian and Adam defeating Dan May and Steve Robinson respectively. Tim Dunn being the other winner when he defeated Gary Beardsley 75-11. Lincoln Snooker Academy’s excellent run came to an end when they were beaten 4-2 by Lincoln Snooker Club F. Neil Hall won the first frame for the Snooker Club side when he beat Jacob Louca 56-30. Glenn Blewitt made it 2-0 when he also beat Jacob 54-43. Jayden Hunt pulled a frame back for the Academy side defeating John Griffiths 67-17. Glynn Weston restored the two frame lead when he just got the better of Jayden 56-43. Daniel Sherman pulled anoth frame back for the Academy side when he won a black ball frame 55-50 against Neil Hall. The final frame saw John Griffiths defeat Daniel 71-59 for a very good result. Hykeham B also won 5-1 when they entertained Lincoln Snooker Club E. Jack Chamberlain was the lone winner for the Lincoln Snooker Club when he defeated Darren Edwards 64-50 with a break of 33. Michael Morrison won his two frames, firstly defeating Charlie Matthews 56-20 and 59-21. Mark Handford beat Phil Allis 67-34 and he then beat Kai Grey 63-28 to complete the victory. Lincoln Snooker Club D remain top of the league after a 5-1 win over bottom side Moorlands & Railway 5-1. With the Academy losing they have extended their lead to seven points. George Barrett started the ball rolling when he defeated Josh Weaver 57-21. Adam Hanson made it two nil when he beat Trev Porter 58-31. John Rice was the lone winner for the Moorlands & Railway side when he beat Phil Cross 50-31. Phil made amends in his second frame when he beat Liam Shasby 55-7 with a 30 break. Justin Hunt made it 4-1 with a comfortable 71-21 victory over Nathan Shasby. The final frame saw Stu Cannings defeat Steve Lambert 58-21.

Lincoln Snooker Club H have moved off the bottom of the George Barrett Snooker League 2 after an excellent 4-2 home win over Moorlands & Railway B. Leigh Blades won the opening frame when he came from behind to win a black ball frame 55-53 against Andy Campbell. Kev Betts also came from behind to win his frame on the black ball when he defeated James Byrne 49-45. Tom Boyle was in good form and he ran out the winner 71-36 against Avril Betts. James played his second frame on the evening and he played well inflicting the first defeat of the sea-son on Scott Simpson winning 48-36. Moorlands and Railway’s Captain Andy Riggall pulled a frame back when he defeated Tom Boyle 63-27. The final frame saw Leigh Blades win his sec-ond frame of the evening when he beat Kev Betts 57-36. Lincoln Snooker Club G were away to Castle Ward B and came away with four points. Jared Bailey put Lincoln Snooker Club one up when he defeated Andy Nichol 39-14. Craig Wallace levelled the scores defeating Ollie Schmidt 50-30. The Snooker Club side retained the lead when George Lorenti defeated Matt Strickson 46-36 and Mark Gibbons defeated Tom Bryant 42-34. Tom Faired better in his second frame when he beat Cheeky 56-25. The final frame saw Mark Gibbons win two from two when he beat Dan Neale 54-14 to complete the victory. Hykeham C good form continue when they drew 3-3 with the Cube & Triangle. Karl Clayton took the first frame 46-24 against Cyril Green. Robert Babb levelled the scores when he played very well defeating Jack Belton 75-10. Gary Chambers put the Cube back in front when he beat Pe-ter Jenson 54-24. Back came Hykeham when they took the next two frames Paul Lonsdale beat Marley Clayton 42-34 and Steve Bailey defeated Dan Chambers 62-36. The final frame saw Gary Chambers making it two wins from two on th night when he beat Michael Rudd 57-15. Hykeham are seven games unbeaten and ar two points clear at the top.

Castle Ward collected maximum points when they entertained Moorlands & Railway B, Lee Mason (-10) defeated Leigh Blades (+100) 184. Nick Haywood (-70) then beat James Byrne (+60) 200-168, James was playing his first match in the league at Billiards. The two Hykeham sides met and it was the B team that won this encounter, Fraser Proctor (+10) was in sparkling form compiling breaks of 45 and 28 in is 200-149 win over Steve Robinson (+70). Chris Ellis (+30) made it 2-0 when he beat Dave Coutts (+20). Moorlands & Railway A and Norton Disney drew 1-1, Ian Cotter (-140) was first up against Anna (-30) and with a break of 42 Ian took the first match 200-170. Rob’s (-800) good form continued and with breaks of 95,75,60 and 53 he defeated Benny Mackie (-80) 200-90.
