It was a good week for the two Lincoln Snooker Club Sides, both winning at home to the two Belvedere sides. The Lincoln Snooker Club C entertained the Belvedere Showboats. Matt Todd started the balls rolling and Matt recorded a 65-35 win over Harry Goodwin. Paul Bean made it 2-0 defeating Joe Marum 68-37. Bryan Slack pulled a frame back when he defeated James Durrance 64-34. Matt restored the two frame lead when he put in an excellent performance defeating Jimmy Gillespie 54-21. Paul Bean made it two wins from two on the night and with a break of 46 he defeated Bryan Slack 70-1. Jimmy Gillespie earned his team a second frame with a 57-9 win against Brian Lawson. Brian Lawson made amends in the final frame when he beat Harry Goodwin 58-27. Chris Robinson and Dale Schofield shared the opening two frames, Chris took the opening frame on the black 58-54, and then Dale took the second frame 67-14. The Two Matts played out the next three frames, and Matt Ransome took all three, 81-15 and then with a break of 37 he took the next 64-41 and finally 50-14 and a 4-1 lead. Rob Hall and Glenn Foster played the two remaining Frames and Rob won them both 73-24 and with a break of 55 in his 73-10 win.

Lincoln Snooker Club F took maximum points when they entertained Moorlands & Railway A 6-0. Steve Jakes was up first against Trev Porter and won that 67-27. John Griffiths made it 2-0 defeating Nathan Shasby 59-26. Glenn Blewitt recorded a good win against Liam Shasby 61-57 with Liam compiling a break of 31. Glynn Weston won the next two frames 56-6 and 57-26 against Steve Lambert and Trev Porter respectively. Steve Jakes won his second frame on the night 45-24 against Nathan Shasby. Lincoln Snooker Academy were away to Lincoln Snooker Club E and took five of the six points on offer. Jacob Louca opened the scoring with a good 50-18 victory against Tim Booth. Daniel Sherman also recorded a good victory defeating Sam Isherwood 51-21. James Lilley then made it 3-0 when he defeated Mark Taylor 54-20. Last season’s young player of the year Jayden Hunt defeated Mark Taylor 63-7 and recorded a break of 31. James Lilley won his second frame of the night defeating Tim Booth 41-14. The home teams only point on the night came when Sam Isherwood defeated Jayden Hunt on the black 50-46. Lincoln Snooker Club D were away to Castle Ward A and came away with a 4-2 win, which saw wins for George Barrett, Adam Hanson, Stu Cannings and Justin Hunt. Castle Wards points were from Adam Petty and Tim Dunn who won a black ball decider against Phil Cross. The two Hykeham sides played the remaining frame which resulted in a 4-2 win for the A side, Steve Robinson who is having a good season opened the scoring when he defeated Dave Croft 54-41 despite a breakoff 28 from Dave. Dave Coutts made it 2-0 when he just got the better of Darren Edwards 57-48. Matt May and Gary Beardsley soon made it 4-0, Matt with a break of 39 in his 68-25 win over Mark Handford and Gary beat Michael Morrison on the black 61-57. The two remaining frames saw victories for Michael Morrison and Mark Handford and made it a more respectful scoreline. The Lincoln Security Snooker League 1 Dream Team of the Week:

Hykeham C under the guidance of Cyril Green are in good form and are ten games unbeaten, their latest result was a 4-2 away win over Castle Ward C. Peter Jenson put Hykeham one up when he defeated Dan Neale 58-17. Matt Strickson levelled the scores when he played very well in his 50-16 victory against Hykeham’s Captain Cyril Green. Michael Rudd restored Hykeham’s lead when he beat Craig Wallace 60-41. Tim Bryant levelled the scores again for Castle Ward when he beat Paul Lonsdale 51-26. Steve Bailey made sure of Hykeham‘s good form continued and they avoided defeat when he beat Jackson Porter 53—4 and Rob Babb defeated Dan Neale 79-19. Hykeham are seven points in front of second placed Moorlands & Railway B. The Cube & Triangle are on a run of five matches unbeaten are in third place just two points behind the Moorlands & Railway who were their opponents this week. Dan Chambers started the ball rolling when he just got the better of Avril Betts. Scott Simpson made it 1-1 with a 57-34 victory over Marley Clayton. Gary Chambers restored the lead for the Cube & Triangle when he beat Kev Betts 46-19. Karl Clayton extended his teams lead when he won a close frame 43-35 against Duncan MacDonald. Andy Campbell pulled a frame back when he defeated Marley Clayton 52-27. The final frame was close between Andy Riggall and Gary Chambers and it went down to the wire which Gary won the black ball frame 42-35. The two Lincoln Snooker Club sides met each other the H team were languishing at the bottom and the G team were mid table but there was nothing to separate the two drawing 3-3. The H team raced into a three Nil lead which saw victories for Ray Reid, Tom Boyle and Clive Harris, Clive coming from behind to win a black ball frame 47-46 against Ollie Schimidt. The two unbeaten sides in the Billiards League met at Norton Disney and it was the home side who took the two points. Rob Hall (-800) was in sparkling form with breaks of 148,99,81 and 74 in his 200-160 win over Fraser Proctor (-20). Anna (-30) played a good game against Chris Ellis (Scr.) winning 200-120. Hykeham remain top with a one point lead over Norton Disney Dave Coutts (+40) put Hykeham B one up when he defeated Nick Haywood (-80) 200-169 Nick recorded breaks of 35 and 36. Dean Manders (-170) of Castle Ward was also in good form producing breaks of 48,47,45,37,37,37,36,36 and 35 in his 200-138 against Dan May (+60). Both teams have identical records. The two Moorlands & Railway sides who are in the bottom two places in the league met and have just one victory between them. Ian Cotter (-140) with breaks of 36, 40 and 41 defeated Leigh Blades (+100) 200-163. The remaining match saw Tristan Fussey (-10) level the scores for the B team when he beat Benny Mackie (-70) 200-151.
