Moorlands & Railway C Lincoln Snooker Club B Rescheduled.
Newark Belvedere Club 5-2 Belvedere Showboats

The two Newark Clubs met in the Spec & Fix Premier League, Dale Schofield played the first two opening frames and he was in good form firstly beating Joe Marum 91-1 with a break of 39 and then he beat Bryan Slack 64-2 with a break of 47. Bryan Slack earned his sides first point on the night when he won a black ball frame 69-63 despite a 36 break from his opponent Matt Bavin. Matt then restored the two frame lead when he beat Joe 61-39. Harry Goodwin pulled another frame back for the Showboats when he defeated Dave Jobling 63-5. The final two frames were played between Rob Hall and Harry which Rob took them both 70-35 and 93-4 to complete a 5-2 victory.

League Leaders of the Lincoln Security Snooker League were beaten for only the second time this season when they went down 1-5 by the young Lincoln Academy Side. George Barrett took the opening frame 64-46 against Jacob Louca. The Academy side hit back which saw two wins each for Jayden Hunt and James Lilley and Daniel Sherman won 72-53 against George Barrett with a break of 30. Lincoln Snooker Club F are in third place and ar just one point behind the Academy side. Glynn Weston and Neil Hall put the home side one up but then Mark Taylor squared the match defeating Glenn Blewitt 54-34 and John Griffiths 64-27 with a break of 27. Steve Jakes and Neil Hall completed the Victory against stablemates Lincoln Snooker Club E. Moorlands & Railway B recorded a 3-3 draw against Hykeham A, Josh Weaver, Steve Lambert and Liam Shasby for the Moorlands team and Steve Robinson, and two wins from Dan May. Hykeham B won 4-2 at home to Castle Ward A, Adrian Bunn put Castle Ward one up when he defeated Adrian Bunn 49-36. Hykeham hit back and took the next four frames which saw victories for Dave Croft, Mark Handford and two wins for Michael Morrison.

Castle Ward B recorded a very good 4-2 victory over second placed Moorlands & Railway, Craig Wallace started the evening off when he won a close encounter against Kev Betts 50-42. This was followed by Matt Strickson winning 50-12 against Avril Betts. Tom Bryant then made it 3-0 when he defeated Duncan MacDonald 51-29. Back came Moorlands and Railway when Andy Campbell beat Dan Neale 50-10 and Phil Barnett defeated Jackson Porter 50-25. The final frame saw Craig Wallace win his second frame of the evening when he beat Duncan MacDonald 49-15. Lincoln Snooker Club H recorded a much needed victory when they beat Cube & Triangle 4-2. Leigh Blades won a close game against Dan Chambers 54-46. Jim Byrne made it 2-0 when he won a black ball frame 49-45 against Gary Chambers. Dan Chambers returned to the table and this time he got his sides first point on the board when he beat Tom Boyle 51-22. Clive Harris extended the lead for the Lincoln Snooker Club side when he defeated Jack Belton 50-28. Jim Byrne won his second frame on the night when he defeated Marley Clayton 53-18. Karl Clayton won the finals frame on the black for the Cube & Triangle when he beat Tom Boyle 42-39. High Fliers Hykeham C were held to a 3-3 draw with Lincoln Snooker Club G. Hykeham raced into a 3-0 lead which saw Victories for Peter Jenson, Michael Rudd and Robert Babb. Mark Gibbons with two victories and Michele D’Ascoli replied for the away side.

Billiards League

Moorlands & Railway A 0-2 Hykeham A Hykeham B 1-1 Moorlands & Railway B Castle Ward A 1-1 Norton Disney Recorded Breaks: 221, 64, 63 50 Unfinished Rob Hall: 56 Ian Cotter: The Billiards league couldn't be much tighter Hykeham have 5 wins from six matches and just one point separate the next three teams and the Moorlands & Railway sides are both on 4 points and just one point between them. Rob Hall (-800) recorded this seasons high break so far with a brilliant 221 and further breaks of 64, 63 and 50 unfinished, his opponent Dean Manders (-180) didn't trouble the score board. Nick Haywood (-70) defeated Anna (-30) 200-117. Norton Disney remain unbeaten and they have a match against Hykeham A to get organised, The two Hykeham sides and the Moorlands & Railway teams met for the remaining fixture, Hykeham B entertained Moorlands & Railway B, Steve Robinson (+70) just got the better of Tristan Fussey (-20) 200-191. Congratulations to Leigh Blades (+100) who recorded his first win of the season beating Dan May (+70) 200-189 for a 1-1 draw, Moorlands & Railway B have still yet to record a victory, but I am sure that its not far away. Hykeham B beat Moorlands & Railway A 2-0, Fraser Proctor (-10) defeated Ian Cotter (-150) 200-140 and with Moorlands a player short the point went to Hykeham B.
