Woodhall Spa remain top of the Spec & Fix Premier Snooker League despite a 5-2 lose against Newark Belvedere Club. Dale Schofield put the Belvedere club 2-0 up when he defeated Dan Birt 60-49 despite a 42 break from Dan and in the second frame Dale won 81-25. Dave Jobling made it 3-0 when he beat Neil Dowlman 72-23. the same two players met in the fourth frame and this time Neil just got the better of Dave winning 61-49. Dan Birt pulled another frame back when he beat Dave 56-25. The final two frames was between the Billiards Champion Rob Hall and the Senior Snooker Champion Jamie Turner. Rob made it 4-2 winning 67-31 and then fol-lowed that up with a 81-16 victory and a break of 44 for Rob. Lincoln Snooker Club A played stablemates Lincoln Snooker Club B. Calum Baptist put the B side one up when he defeated the home team captain Daren Doughty 67-57. The same two players remained at the table and this Daren took the frame 72-59. The A team went in front in the third frame when Jamie Barker defeated Glenn Foster 73-36. Matt Lee extended the lead for the A team he firstly beat Glenn 61-40 then with a break of 41 he defeated Chris Robinson 70-47. Chris played out the two remaining frames for the B side and he came from behind to win a black ball frame 60-56 against Lee Applewhite. The final frame saw Gav Whittle compile a break of 52 in his 82-21 win over Chris.

Lincoln Snooker Club D are four points clear at the top of the Lincoln Security Snooker League 1 after a 6-0 home win over their F team. Phil Cross opened the scoring with the help of a 31 break in his 50-6 victory over Glyn Weston. George Barrett made it 2-0 defeating Steve Jakes 60-28. Adam Hanson then made it 3-0 when he just got the better of John Griffiths 53-45. Stu Cannings made sure of a home team victory when he defeated Glyn 62-34. the remaining two frames for the home side came from Justin Hunt, in his first frame he defeated Stev 62-38 and he then beat John 62-17 to complete the whitewash. Hykeham B were another team in fine form when they also recorded a 6-0 win over Moorlands & Railway. Dave Croft put Hykeham one up when he got the better of Trev Porter 57-47. Darren Edwards was in good form on the night when he defeated Nathan Shasby 69-7. Tristan Fussey then made it 3-0 when he beat John Rice 54-30, he then followed that up with a 50-41 victory over Trev. Dave made it 5-0 with a 49-37 victory over Nathan. Darren rounded the night off with a 66-21 win over John. Lincoln Snooker Academy remain unbeaten and they were made to fight all the way against Hykeham A. Young player of the Year Jayden Hunt played two frames straight off, firstly defeating Steve Robinson 48-27 but he lost his second frame when his opponent Gary Beardsley came from behind when he black ball frame to win 51-48. James Lilley also played two frames straight off. In his first frame he defeated Gary 54-26 and then he beat Rob Chapman 56-30 for a 3-1 lead. Rob pulled a frame back for Hykeham with a 59-29 victory over Brandon Staples. The final frame of the evening saw Dan May just get the better of Brandon winning 44-36 to earn a share of the spoils. Lincoln Snooker Club E remain unbeaten after they drew 3-3 with Castle Ward A. Rob Reeves put the Ward one up when he defeated newcomer Kai Gray 75-22. Andy Gill levelled the scores when he beat Tim Dunn 63-33. Adam Petty had an excellent result when he played very well to defeat Mark Taylor 41-05. Mark faired better in the his second frame when he beat Rob 51-30. Tim put the Ward 3-2 up when he just got the better of Anthony Liddell. The final frame saw Anthony defeat Adam 56-11 for a 3-3 draw. First Win for Hykeham C! Newcomers Hykeham C recorded their first win of the season with a spirited performance at home against Lincoln Snooker Club G, under the steady captaincy of Cyril Green. Things didn’t start smoothly for the home side, as Ollie Shmidt put Lincoln ahead with a 50-25 win over Robert Babb. Michael Stacey then doubled the visitors’ lead, coming from behind to snatch a dramatic black-ball decider 48-43 against Steve Bailey. Hykeham C found their rhythm in frame three, with Peter Jenson edging a tight 56-44 contest against Ollie. Momentum stayed with the home side as new signing Michael Rudd levelled the scores, also winning a tense black-ball frame 58-50 against Jared Bailey. With the match finely balanced, Cyril Green stepped up and produced a captain’s performance, dominating Michele D’Ascoli 66-21 to give Hykeham the lead for the first time. Peter Jenson returned for a second frame, securing the victory with a composed 66-38 win over Josh Hack-ney. Nice one, Cyril. Moorlands & Railway B Unbeaten Run Continues Moorlands & Railway B maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 4-2 away win over Castle Ward B. The home team saw wins from Ken Hill and Matt Strickson, but the visitors proved too strong, with victories for Andy Campbell, Phil Barnett, and two wins for the in-form Scott Simpson. Cube & Triangle March On Cube & Triangle moved into second place in the table after a commanding 5-1 away win over Lincoln Snooker Club H. The night began with Jack Belton setting the tone, beating Ray Reid 56-18. Gary Chambers followed with a 40-30 win over Leigh Blades, and then doubled up with a 65-19 victory over Clive Harris. Clive managed to claw one back in his second frame, defeating Marley Clayton 55-23. However, Dan Chambers restored the three-frame advantage, battling back from behind to beat Leigh Blades 58-54 on the black. In the final frame, Karl Clayton saw off Ray Reid 53-27, wrapping up an excellent team performance. Perhaps Mr Blades could run a cook-off for the best Sunday home-cooked dinner. Yes, Mr Blades, I have been told to “cook off” plenty of times — at least I think that’s what they said.
